Refreshing Honeysuckle for 2011

Yes, it is official. Pantone has finally announced it's 2011 Color of the Year and it is HONEYSUCKLE or technically, Pantone 18-2120. Why Honeysuckle? Because it is "a color for all seasons".
Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it. Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life.
It is believed that energizing honeysuckle lifts spirits and imparts confidence to meet life's ongoing challenges.

If you are up and ready to face the challenges of the Year 2011, a little boost of confidence by wearing on a flash of honeysuckle here and there will probably do wonders. I remember having almost this color for my wedding motif last 2007 and it was really kind of symbolic to us who are just having a fresh start at married life.

If you are looking for some trendy fashion, here are some designs to add to your wardrobe:

I may not be that fashionable but I must say, this color is great!

Happy New Year of the Rabbit!

It's gonna be a placid year, and it is very much welcome and needed after the ferocious Year of the Tiger. At least that's what the experts in Chinese Zodiac are saying. Hopefully, the Year 2011 will be a time of prosperity and a time where we can enjoy life's many luxuries and pleasures.

What is it with the Rabbit then, that the Chinese believe it to be a very fortunate sign? According to Chinese mythology, the Rabbit (or Hare) is the emblem of longevity and is said to derive his essence from the Moon. When a Chinese looks at the Moon, he sees the Moon Hare standing near a rock under a Cassia tree and holding the Elixir of Immortality in his hands.

The Rabbit symbolizes graciousness, good manners, sound counsel kindness and sensitivity to beauty. His soft speech and graceful and nimble ways embody all the desirable traits of a successful diplomat or seasoned politician.

Likewise, a person born under this sign will lead a tranquil life, enjoying peace, quiet and a congenial environment. He is reserved and artistic and possesses good judgment. His thoroughness will also make him a good scholar. He will shine in the fields of law, politics and government.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year will be a good one for all of you!

2 In 1

Two big events happened last Sunday that made its way in the History of Sports. Two great and young sportsmen have proven that they are the best in their field. I only got to witness the events on TV and on the internet but watching them has given me that adrenaline rush and that anticipation of what is to come.

In the end, they emerged victorious. And it is not luck. They are both really good and talented.

I am talking about the Philippine-pride Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao who won his 8th consecutive Boxing Championship over Mexican Margarito,

and of German Formula 1 Racer Sebastian Vettel who is the youngest racer to have won the Formula 1 World Championship title.

It was a victory that many hoped for. Kudos to you both!
